Name: Pamela Maxwell
Position: President
Brief Bio: After 20 years of convincing myself that I didn't miss skiing, Jan Stringer encouraged me to join Skicousi 5 years ago and I am forever grateful! The instructors have been fantastic, and the value of the lessons (financial and psychological) priceless. Winter Thursdays are now defined by a great day of skiing and socializing filled with endless laughs and memories in the making. What a great way to meet so many people that all share the love of the outdoors. I am very excited to be on the Skicousi Board. I will now be able to give something back to such a supportive and welcoming group of skiers/boarders.
Name: Doreen Garner
Position: Vice President
Brief Bio: When I moved from Calgary about 24 years ago, I thought my skiing days were over. Hearing about the small hills in Collingwood, skiing was not very enticing. My neighbour Suzanne Davis invited me to a Skicousi day and I was pleasantly surprised. The next year I joined and have loved the wonderful friendships (oh yes and the skiing too.) I have gone on the trips every year just to get in my thirst for the mountains. Over the years I have been on the Board in various roles and thought it was time to rejoin our Skicousi Executive. I look forward to working with these committed fellow skiers.
Name: Darlene Macartney
Position: Secretary
Brief Bio: I have been working on the Skicousi Executive for about 6 years. As I am serving my final year as past president and with the resignation of our secretary, Liz Preston (by the way over 30 years of service), I decided to try my hand as secretary. I am happy to continue working with this amazing group of volunteers who are on our executive. Skicousi has been a perfect fit for my current lifestyle allowing me to ski with friends while also developing my skiing and teaching skills with our Snow School. I am looking forward to another great season.
Name: Irmgard Steinisch
Position: Treasurer
Brief Bio: I recently retired so that I have finally more time for my hobbies. I intend to enjoy all Skicousi has to offer in the coming season. In taking on the position of treasurer I hope to contribute to the longevity and continued vitality of this club I have much enjoyed for more than 15 years. Let it snow!
Name: Christine Eades
Position: Snow School Director
Brief Bio: I am looking forward to my new role as the Snow School Director for Skicousi. I come to Skicousi as a lifetime member of the Caledon Ski Club where I am currently coaching both Adults and Children. I’m passionate about skiing and love to share that passion with others. In the off season, I can be found honing my golf skills at the Devils Pulpit.
Name: Karen Bolliger
Position: Lift Ticket Sales
Brief Bio: Although I didn't start skiing until my mid 30's, it's become a very important part of my life for many reasons. It's a great way to be outdoors in the winter, it's great exercise, it's exciting, and most of all it's a very social sport. Through Skicousi, I've met many new friends. I look forward to Thursdays and seeing everyone's smiling face as we head out to ski. Having been a Skicousi member for the past 8 seasons I can't say enough about how it's boosted my confidence and skills as a skier. The lessons are second to none, the best I've ever had. This year I've taken over Ticket Sales from Penny DeCarlo who handled that job for many years! Looking forward to being a Trip Coordinator this season- Les Arcs Panorama France 2022, and having a tonne of fun!

Brief Bio: I joined Skicousi about 20 yrs ago. I had only been skiing for two years when I heard about the club and decided to join. I enrolled in the lesson program and I am still taking the lessons today. I find that if the weather is not too good knowing I have a lesson makes me go out. I have met some really great people and made quite a few friends. I was asked to be Vice President in my third year and served two years as Vice and two years as President then took over the Membership which I am still doing. It's a big job but I enjoy doing it and it keeps me busy. Serving on the executive has allowed me to get to know lots of people who volunteer their time to make Skicousi the great Club that it is.

Brief Bio: Going into my third season, I am delighted to join the Skicousi Executive! After sixteen years of not skiing, while raising my two daughters, I have thoroughly enjoyed my first two winters getting back on the slopes. Skicousi has enabled me to not only enjoy skiing again, but has provided me with better skills with the weekly lessons! The ski bus is the best way to travel to and from the five great clubs! I have had the pleasure of getting to know so many wonderful people through skiing on Thursdays and our recent trip to Italy! What a super way to embrace winter!
Barb and I look forward to being a part of the Executive and helping to enhance everyone's ski experience!

Brief Bio: When I was 7 years old my parents started our whole family skiing in a little club down near Peterborough, Ontario. It was wood skis, bear trap bindings and lace up boots. Luckily, we spent several years living in and near the Rockies, hence, my lifetime love of skiing. With the kids and my career trying to interrupt my sport I begged to trade kids with people so I could even get a day alone skiing! Fast forward many decades and I finally have found a group of like minded individuals. I am now semi-retired I have time to enjoy Skicousi along with old friends and new. Looking forward to partnering with Laura planning social events for the upcoming ski season.
Name: Karryn Karrys
Position: Advertising & Promotion
Brief Bio: 'There is no bad weather, just bad clothing’ is my mantra in the winter and I’ve been saying it for years. Winter can be long and depressing for some. But for those who embrace the great outdoors, it’s another story altogether.
Skiing has been a big part of my life since my twenties when I accepted a contract to ski instruct in Australia, not Austria. Living in the mountains also afforded me the opportunity to compete in freestyle skiing events for several years. I eventually moved back to Canada and raised two snowboard instructors. At one time all three of us taught at Caledon Ski Club. During the 80’s I instructed for several years with Skicousi before going back to work full time.
Now in retirement I am blessed to have more time to ski, still on original parts I might add, and socialize with a great bunch of energetic, fun-loving ski and snowboard enthusiasts. Thursday’s in January and February are reserved for Skicousi - no matter what the weather!
Name: Joanne MacNair
Position: Digital Communications
Brief Bio: I joined Skicousi 7 years ago. Grew up in Dorval, Québec, skiing Laurentians, Eastern Townships. Our family rented a cottage on Lac Ouimet and we were members of Gray Rocks. Best ski school in the Laurentians, well-known for its fabulous ski weeks and Inn (long before Tremblant was bought out by Intrawest, now Vail). Previously I was a member of High Park Ski Club, over 20 years, went on many trips. Joined Skicousi after moving back to Oakville/Mississauga. The bus is the best way to travel and I love ski classes. Instructors are fabulous! Both are a great way to meet new people.

Brief Bio: I have been a member of this fabulous club for a very long time, I think it was the 80's and I was looking to do something nice for myself. Well I still am. During this time I have been Vice President; President; Past President. I am currently the weekend Trip Organizer for Ellicottville, N.Y. as well as on the Nominating Committee. Couldn`t be happier to give back to such a fun, interesting group.
